Since 1967, the Literacy Volunteers of Ontario County, Inc. (New York) has been offering free and confidential one-to-one tutoring help to adults who want to improve their reading, writing, and English-speaking skills.
The mission of the Literacy Volunteers of Ontario County, Inc. is to provide adults the literacy skills needed to reach their full potential as individuals, parents, workers and citizens.
We use highly qualified, committed tutors who are trained and certified in student-centered learning.
We provide tutoring that is specifically geared to each student's particular learning style.
We set mutual goals that are realistic and attainable.
We offer scheduling that is flexible and accomodating for both the student and tutor.
